Benefits of Having Chickens
Chickens are often one of the first backyard farm animals added to a homestead. They don’t take up a huge amount of space, they produce delicious eggs, and they are generally pretty easy to take care of.
They are the first animals added to our own backyard farm and we have had between 5 and 13 chickens for the last dozen years. While most people raise a few backyard chickns primarily for their eggs, we’ve found many additional uses over the year.
